Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts
Mission Statement

Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts provides quality education in the classical art and science of Chinese medicine, graduating professionals who provide independent and collaborative care in diverse settings, enriching their communities with Daoist-based medicine.

History

Located in beautiful Asheville, NC, Daoist Traditions was founded by a group of senior practitioners in the field of Chinese Medicine who have devoted themselves to the revival of classical teachings. Inspired by their studies with Jeffrey Yuen, 88th generation Daoist priest, they wish to help continue his work in restoring the ancient traditions by sharing their clinical experience and passion for Chinese Medicine.

Throughout its long history, Chinese medicine has been a dynamic and evolving medical art and science. As it is quickly becoming mainstream medicine, it is also one of the fastest growing professions in the United States. We invite you to begin your journey toward becoming a part of this ancient tradition.

Programs Offered

Since 2003, Daoist Traditions has offered the Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) program. From studying the ancient traditions of Classical Chinese Medicine to applying traditional teachings to contemporary issues, our curriculum provides students with a well-rounded understanding of the principles and techniques of Oriental Medicine.

Our Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) program prepares graduates to collaborate with healthcare practitioners in Western medicine settings and can be completed at the same time as our master’s degree. Masters graduates from ours, and other Chinese medicine colleges, can also earn the advanced degree title in a convenient, modular format.

Our Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine (CCHM) program is a two-year post-graduate hybrid program for acupuncturists interested in learning Chinese herbal medicine to advance their knowledge, clinical skills, and practice.

Federal financial aid is available for all programs.
